What you'll be doing

The Assistant Director is responsible to put christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Create a welcoming, fun and safe environment for campers to learn, grow, and build relationships. Create weekly activity schedules and plan opening and closing ceremonies.Function as a cruise director for camp by keeping groups on schedule and in the right place. Supervise camp and staff in the directors absence (typically 3 hours/day). Knows, understands, and consistently applies all safety rules. Communicates with parents and caregivers about their childs activities/day10. A leader that has initiative, enthusiasm, and strong interpersonal skills. Attends all staff meetings and training as assigned.

Enthusiasm and creativity for youth and childrens programming. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Previous camp or group work experience preferred. Able to lifting up to 50lbs. Climbing, sitting, standing, pushing, walking, kneeling, and stooping. Tolerate heat and humidity for extended periods of time. Must be able to be outdoors for the majority of the day.
