What you'll be doing
- Accounts Payable Manager to oversee the accounts payable department ensuring payments are made in a timely fashion. Developing and training staff members to ensure latest technology and services are being utilized. Reduce expenses by increasing revenue income from different payment sources and implementing process improvements that aligns with current best practices and updated technology. This position is located in our parsippany, NJ office. Develop and train staff. Oversee staff ensuring policy and procedures are being observed. Ensure A/P entries are posted on daily basis. Oversee payments programs such as procurement card, e-payables and ACH pay mode. Oversee month end closing. Preparing yearly budget for the accounts payable department. Assisting with internal and external audits. Make high level decisions on a daily basis that involves payables and other matters. Assist in projects that may directly or indirectly affect A/P. Work with the GL department on resolving discrepancies/variances. Balance out/reconcile e-pay file monthly. Following standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with company code of conduct.
What your background should be
- 5-10 years experience in accounts payable. 2 year of accounting experience background other than payables. Good customer service skills. Organizational skills. Able lead and develop staff.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree.
