What you'll be doing
- The successful candidate will report to work as scheduled and on time. Deliver required nursing care, personal care, treatments and psychological support to those under his/her care. Regard all residents as under his/her care when. Follow individual resident orders for use of restraints and special equipment. Attend shift report. Report to supervisor/charge nurse any observations or concerns timely. Complete all special assignments. Keep working area, neat, clean and orderly. Transport residents as necessary. Take initiative in delivery of services, sees what needs to be done and do it, within scope of practice. Encourage resident to maintain maximum level of independence. Work to build relationships with residents that are warm, positive and supportive. Be positive in relating to families and friends of residents. Attend all mandatory in services. Perform other duties as directed or required.
What your background should be
- The candidates must be currently licensed in Virginia. The candidates must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a skilled nursing/hospital environment specializing in the skilled care of senior citizens. They must have long-term care/geriatrics experience. They must be computer literate and proficient in the use of computer technology and software.
Required Schooling / Training
- Qualified candidates must have graduated from a state approved program.
