Accountant

What you'll be doing: Responsible for all assigned accounting related to standard costing including, but not limited to follow up and accounting for activity variances and Oracle reports which monitor the timely functioning of the standard costing system. Applies principles of accounting to perform daily basic accounting transactions, reconciliations, reports, analysis as well as other month-end duties related to the closing process. Responsible for monthly reports for management as assigned. Supports the annual physical inventory along with monthly cycle counts as assigned. Cross trains within the department to support the team as needed and assigned. Participates in various special projects and compiles a variety of special reports as needed. Recommends continuous improvement ideas to promote efficiency within the department. Assists with audit requests from internal and external auditors as well as other corporate requests. Assists with the maintenance and development of internal controls and procedures, and helps ensure all proper internal controls are in place in conformity with Sarbanes-Oxley.

What your background should be: Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Proficient in Excel. Some ERP knowledge; Oracle is a plus. Self-motivated. Good communication skills. Strong desire to learn and ability to adapt to a changing environment.
