What you'll be doing
- As directed, compiles and analyzes financial information; develops revenue/expense analyses, projects, reports, and presentations; or performs income and balance sheet statement, consolidated statement, and various other accounting statement and report preparation. Assists in developing financial reports and records analysis, making recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets and expenditures; or as assigned: creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records. Coordinates accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions; or assists in ensuring accuracy of business plans, financial statements and technical compliance in accordance with US GAAP and international accounting standards. Performs special projects on an assigned basis.
What your background should be
- Minimum 2 years of work experience. Bachelor degree in accounting or finance. Knows fundamental accounting concepts. Able to prepare and understand financial statements. Ability to coordinate accounting or financial analysis input. Understands analytical concepts and produces reasoned financial analysis. Understands impact of sox regulations and/or other regulatory/rate case implications in relationship to their scope of work. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and productivity tools (e.g., Word processing, Spreadsheet, presentation, database, lotus notes).
