What you'll be doing

In this position the Accounting Assistant will take responsibility for performing the billing as well as all the other billing related tasks. The chosen candidate will assist in the process of production of statistics and reports. The Accounting Assistant will also ensure accurate and timely filling of each insurance claim for the provided services (lab work, office visits, IVF and IUI cycles, surgeries). The expert will verify accuracy of claims before processing: review insurance protocols, schedules, log books. Among the other duties and responsibilities of the Accounting Assistant one should point out the following: - Submit bills electronically or mail paperwork along with supportive documentation. - Keep track of all the adjustments and payments for the future billing submissions. - Co-work with the front desk in order to ensure appropriate application of practice policies regarding the co-insurance and co-pays collection. - Make certain that all modifications and discrepancies in pattern are accurately researched, checked and corrected. - Provides patients, who have no insurance, with bills.

What your background should be

The basic requirements of the Accounting Assistant position Include: - High School Diploma or College Degree required. - From two years of previous experience in Surgical / Medical billing. - Prior experience in insurance verification and referrals is strongly required. - Ability to fluently speak several languages. - Typing and filling mandatory. - Knowledge and ability to make use of Medical Manager software is a great plus. - Proficiency in PC. - Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to keep all data 100% confidential.
