What you'll be doing
- The Accounting Clerk's responsibility may involve to provide services required to accept and reconsider incoming invoices; to verify information contained in relevant documents; to make sure that sufficient funds have been obligated and is available at the time of invoice processing; and to troubleshooting problems related to submissions. It is the task of the ideal candidate to make sure invoices are paid within the timeframe required by Prompt Payment Act and/or applicable Executive Order, Regulations, and/or policy. Further, this individual will review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment. Also she/he will create, classify and maintain all accounts payables reports, spreadsheets and agency payable files.
