What you'll be doing

Research, plan, perform due diligence, and document effects of significant business transactions such as acquisitions, contracts with embedded derivatives and relationships with variable interest entities. Assist financial reporting with gaap and sec compliance (disclosure checklists), other technical matters and communicate accounting positions with external auditors. Research accounting for various new financial structuring opportunities. Support business units by addressing questions and documenting accounting conclusions to maximize corporate results. Maintain, interpret and update accounting policies. Manage staff and/or project teams when necessary and establish performance measures for projects.

What your background should be

A minimum 8 years of experience managing accounting or financial operations of a mid to large size publicly held company or relevant experience in a large public accounting firm. CPA required. Strong knowledge of sec and GAAP guidance. Experienced with accounting research tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to deliver financial information that adds value at competitive cost. Proven project management skills; able to lead multiple, diverse, cross functional team efforts with outstanding results. Highly developed analytical skills. Understands and can apply financial strategies of competitive industries. Experienced in financial and economic analysis. Knowledgeable of technological tools and solutions capable of providing financial information to users. Must demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the company's ethics and compliance code, and other company policies and procedures, and take all required training courses.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor of science or business administration degree in accounting, finance, or business from an accredited college or university.
