What you'll be doing
- Accounts Payable accomplishes the company's financial objectives by taking responsibility on assigned accounting duties. This individual completes payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. The incumbent pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; ensuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments. She/he maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions. Maintains historical records by filing documents.
What your background should be
- 5 years of accounts payable experience
Required Schooling / Training
- Associate's degree
