What you'll be doing
- The candidate will responsible for make preliminary recommendation as to appropriateness of client services and recommends level and type of care, discharge and aftercare. Work cooperatively with other staff members in affecting patient rehabilitation and coordinates the work with other public and private agencies. Contact collaterals, family members and others to encourage their participation. Serve as a resource person to alcoholism rehabilitation workers in advocating, linking and expediting activities. Instruct workers in appropriate roles for group counseling. Prepare reports on cases, maintain files and records, participate in training of rehabilitation intern and keep abreast of latest developments in the field.
What your background should be
- Minimum one or two years of supervised work experience providing alcoholism or chemical dependency counseling treatment services or an equivalent combination or training and experience.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor Degree and Master Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or social work.
