What you'll be doing

Prepare credit memorandum or presentations based on independent and complete analysis of commercial credit requests. Spread and analyze financial information for borrowers and guarantors. Demonstrate the ability to use critical thinking in problem solving and credit structuring. Monitor the ongoing financial performance of borrowers and act as an independent reviewer of the borrowing relationship. Initiate risk rating changes in conjunction with these reviews. Analyst have the authority to stop continuation of credit underwriting process and escalate to senior management, if they identify a concern. Complete projects as assigned by Management. Perform financial statement analysis, determining the reason for changes in trends. Complete loan memorandums and present findings to senior management. Monitor the ongoing financial performance of borrowers and act as an independent reviewer of the borrowing relationship. Engage in direct contact with borrower and/or agent banks as necessary. Utilize assigned lending authority.

What your background should be

Strong organizational skills and analytical skills, with at least 2 years in commercial credit or financial analysis experience. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret financial statements to include: balance sheet; income statement; cash flow schedules; statement of owners equity; and tax returns (both individual and business). A good understanding of lending concepts, practices, procedures and documentation. Have a strong understanding of accounting terms and principles. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple tasks open simultaneously.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree, preferably in accounting, finance or business administration.
