What you'll be doing
- Develop annual giving strategic plan; based on those plans, propose yearly budget recommendations for the annual giving program; administer the budget to assure sound fiscal expenditures and management and meet fundraising goal on an annual basis. Advice senior leadership and finance staff on individual revenue projection/budgeting based on known opportunities. Plan, implement and manage a comprehensive direct mail program and online giving strategies; create a calendar outlining campaign activity; analyze direct mail/e-mail solicitation program results data to refine and increase ROI. Oversee the production and mailing of direct mail appeals; coordinate with printers, mail houses and other suppliers as needed. Develop creative themes and designs including brochures, promotional materials, appeals and other related print and online content in collaboration with the communications department. Work with the associate director of development and development director on assessing growth potential of major gift prospects. Identify, cultivate and solicit, in collaboration with company leadership, individuals for general operating support, event sponsorship, volunteer programs, and publicity. Track information related to individual funding opportunities using existing systems. Maintain a moves management system to track prospect and donor cultivation and stewardship. Lead research efforts related to industry trends and apply findings to plans and strategies.
What your background should be
- The applicant should have 4+ years of experience with donor identification, project-management, relationship-building and fundraising. Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and priority-setting abilities are critical to success. Ability to work and communicate with a wide range of internal constituents including board members, senior management, program staff, finance, and volunteers.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree.
