Application Support Analyst

What you'll be doing: As an application support analyst, you will provide support for vendor supplied and in-house built applications utilized for high volume check and statement image storage. These are mission critical, enterprise class applications running in a large distributed environment supported by the UNIX and windows operating systems and include NCR image mark software and associated applications. You will use a variety of tools in debugging and fixing production issues. Utilize multiple programming languages and tools with focus on UNIX and perl scripting adhering to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation. Responsibilities include understanding the check processing environment with specific focus on check image storage and retrieval. Working with infrastructure, business analysis, and other application teams, you will be responsible for the analysis and debugging of production issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in design reviews for proposed fixes and working with various application vendors to determine recommendations for change.

What your background should be: Minimum two plus year of application support work experience. Minimum two plus years of work experience in a client server environment, including. UNIX and windows based operating systems. Experience in programming utilizing UNIX scripting languages including KSH and Perl. Experience using versions control utilities. Role requires week-end and pager support, approximately once every 4 weeks.
