Art Director

What you'll be doing: Ensuring that all marketing communications materials for tailwinds clients and the agency are compelling, simple to understand and on strategy. Work with creative directors to develop design solutions. Formulate basic layout design or presentation approach, and specify material details, such as style and size of type, photographs, graphics, animation, video and sound. Review and approve proofs. Confer with creative, art, copy-writing, or production department heads to discuss client requirements and presentation concepts, and to coordinate creative activities. Learning, listening, asking, prioritizing and translating client goals into strategic creative concepts. Solving complex communication needs using the ability to organize and architect information into graphic solutions that are breakthrough and compelling. Consultation with internal resources when appropriate. Ensuring that the companys high quality creative is upheld by maintaining high standards for the team. Recommending solutions to evolve the technology capabilities of the group. Apply a strong understanding of interactive best practices, including visual design, front-end development, usability, information architecture and technology standards to all initiatives. Understanding of responsive design and development for desktop, tablet and mobile.

What your background should be: 4+ years of experience, combined agency and client-side background preferred. Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, Flash, HTML/CSS, Microsoft Office. Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. A team player, with a can-do attitude. Ability to multi-task and prioritize, with focus on both the big picture and the details. Motivated, self-starter. Reliable, dependable.
