What you'll be doing

Under direction from the coffee shop lead, this position assists the coffee shop area of the recreation center. Manage and maintain equipment in the coffee shop. Maintain positive customer relations specifically in the coffee shop area and throughout the recreation center. Remain current with all certifications, trends in industry, and safety standards. Communicate clearly & concisely both orally and in writing. Promote a marketing plan for the ongoing development of the coffee shop. Conform to established program budget(s), monitor expenditures, and provide assistance for budget development and cost control activities. Maintain accurate records of inventory; and resolve discrepancies when company occur. Assist in preparation of reports and other evaluation methods. Perform other duties as required.

What your background should be

Six (6) months of experience working in a coffee shop or restaurant. Current food handlers certification. Knowledge of and ability to apply marketing practices. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Ability to maintain positive community and working relationships. Competency in the use of MS Office software. Preferred state issued driving license.

Required Schooling / Training

High school diploma or GED.
