What you'll be doing

Serve beverages to guests, anticipating their needs and responding promptly to any and all requests in a friendly and professional manner. Operate cash register and/or point of sale (POS) system. Adhere to all cash handling guidelines as set forth by the hotel and the food & beverage department. Responsible for all alcohol in bar, checks and bank accountability. Maintain positive guest relations through good communications skills, proper attitude, correct body language and eye contact, all to ensure customer satisfaction and enhance their overall culinary experience. Extend a courteous and friendly departure to all of company guests, thanking them for dining with us and inviting them back again, with a genuine and professional demeanor. Clear and reset tables as needed. Complete all closing side work, inspecting for cleanliness, sanitation and organization of all work areas and of the outlet itself. Take ownership of any guest problems and resolve them according to guidelines set forth by the food & beverage department. Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies & service procedures. Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operations and proper table set-ups. Maintain complete knowledge and correct use & maintenance of equipment. Provide superior customer service in accordance with the company driven to excellence standards. Consistently practice and maintain the highest standards of professionalism when interacting with fellow team members, management, owners, members and prospects. Perform other duties as assigned.

What your background should be

Minimum one year experience in food & beverage is required. Money handling skills. ability to input information into point of sale (POS) systems. Ability to perform simple mathematical computations. Ability to communicate in English, in both oral and written form. Ability to understand guest needs. Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating a potentially intoxicated guest. Ability to accurately fill requisitions from all bars. Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Required Schooling / Training

High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
