What you'll be doing

This position will provide quality discipline specific treatment for children with developmental delay, disability, and autism spectrum disorder. The candidate will monitor the development of children in home, the community and/or other natural setting. Provide 1 2 1 specialized behavior intervention service to children, and parent education, according to goal. Describe in the treatment plan. Ensure effective communication between all support team member. Complete necessary program and participant related document and report. Attend meeting as requested. Familiar with the field of early intervention, knowledgeable of resource that serve children, and with the approach to intervention based on the science of applied behavior analysis. Competent in employing and directing behavior analytic methodology. Demonstrate good judgement, decision making, and communication. Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality. Must relate well to children and their family.

What your background should be

5 years of related experience with children autism spectrum disorder and/or other related developmental disability. Working knowledge in all applicable computer program. Valid CPR certificate. Ability to pass background/fingerprint clearance, health screening and provide/obtain immunization. Valid California driving license, safe driving record, proper auto insurance and vehicle registration.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree in early childhood education, psychology, nursing or related field.
