What you'll be doing
- We are searching for a qualified Billing Specialist to compile, process, bill out and in-patient charges to the third-party insurance payers on manual and electronic basis.
What your background should be
- The basic requirements for the Billing Specialist position: - High School Diploma. - College level medical or business billing courses. - From 1 to 2 years of previous clerical experience in a medical environment. - Basic understanding of HMOs, Medicare, Blue Cross, Medicaid and commercial insurance. - Ability to reference CPT and ICD-9-CM coding. - One year of previous experience in medical billing preferred.
