Boarding Representative

What you'll be doing: The client company is currently looking for a boarding representative. The candidate in this position is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following: key position accountability: increase revenue by selling and obtain orders while on board vessels. Attend vessel deliveries and ensure proof of delivery obtained and delivered to the office. Ensure issues and complaints on the vessel are handled professionally. Perform any other assignments or responsibilities as requested by customer service manager.

What your background should be: Multiple years of experience with shipping terminology and ship supply. Ability to speak read and write English. Ability to speak read and write a second language-desirable. Comfortable with MS office applications i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel desirable. Experience with dealing with captains and officers. Knowledge of the needs of vessel, specifically provisions and technical items. Experience of dealing with language barriers/cultural differences desirable.
