What you'll be doing
- Business controller will be responsible for providing oversight to the monthly close and quarterly certification processes, representing enterprise technology on major system upgrades and process improvements, as well as working collaboratively with corporate accounting and key contacts in IT finance to provide value-added analysis and policy guidance. Participate in the evaluation of major new technology contracts and contract renewals to provide clarity on accounting treatment; collaborate with IT finance to ensure full understanding of financial statement impact to drive accurate and consistent financial projections. Provide oversight to the monthly close process to ensure proper accounting treatment for new and existing contracts; evaluate prepaid and accrual practices, and validate standing accruals.
What your background should be
- 8-10 years of progressively more responsible finance or accounting experience, ideally in complex, matrix organizations. Exceptional communication, influencing and facilitation skills, with leadership potential. Management experience and strong track record of accomplishments in fast-paced, matrix organizations. Process management and process improvement skills. Experience implementing and or improving financial controls.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree in finance or accounting or CPA preferred.
