What you'll be doing

This position will act as a significant partner to the sales organization, legal and other parts of finance. This is a senior financial position; the candidate should be a seasoned professional with a sound business acumen and the ability to influence and drive winning bid strategies. As primary strategist, this role will support requests from sales for any non-standard finance related terms including pricing, payment terms, commitments, etc. Review, approve and structure all direct and indirect non-standard deals, inclusive of writing terms and conditions. Ability to generate tangible win strategies based on rfp analysis and input from sales team; win strategies on large deals will require advanced competitive analysis inclusive of financial strategies as well as non-financial strategies. Comprehensive understanding of cost proposals and life cycle cost analysis. Ensure deals terms are appropriate in regards to company policy and revenue recognition rules (sarbannes oxley). Help define policies regarding deal approval routes. Provide training to the sales teams as needed on appropriate topics. Define processes and flow for the deal desk.

What your background should be

Must be a u.s. citizen only. Experienced in performing competitive analysis, thorough understanding of the get well process and business case analysis, strong tool skills such as excel. 10+ years experience in finance pricing type position. Highly experienced in all areas of federal government contracting. Knowledge of far, dfar, federal budgeting process. Solid knowledge of revenue recognition per sarbanes oxley. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Ability to build strong working partnerships. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy. Solutions oriented attitude. Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations. Strong understanding of tactical versus strategic deals.

Required Schooling / Training

Minimum 4 year degree in finance or accounting.
