What you'll be doing
- Business/data analyst design and document business processes by meeting regularly with faculty and administrative staff from each department and administrative area. Lead in the critical evaluation and processing of data that is being collected and give feedback. Analyze user interactions with systems in the SDM, identify opportunities for process improvement through system enhancements. Develop screen mockups and process flow diagrams for new and existing users. Create training materials and conduct online/offline training sessions with participants in different departments and administrative areas. Work closely with all levels of end users, including executive level staff and affiliates, in understanding and analyzing the SDM departments & administration processes. Utilize business analytic tools and techniques to monitor business processes, data quality, and system utilization, illuminating areas of concern and proposing resolutions. Assess opportunities for new systems/modules and processes to increase the value of services provided by the SDM. Identify ways to maximize the use of data in support of key activities and present alternatives to management. Assist in maintaining and supporting sdm software and applications.
What your background should be
- The ideal candidate should have to works closely with all of the departments of the sdm including administrative, finance, clinic, faculty practice, it, and student services to provide business intelligence solutions in support of the SDM and administration objectives. Defining work flow, documenting policies and procedures, generating reports for various departments inside and outside of the dental management software application (axium) and from other sources, data analysis and production of easy to understand output, aligning workflows among all departments, providing training in support of old & newly defined business processes for faculty, staff, residents & students.
