What you'll be doing

Responsible for planning lesson plans of enrichment activities such as math and literacy. Carries out planned enrichment activities while being engaged with students. Serves as a positive role model to students and maintains a positive relationship with site director, group leaders and children. Attends required staff meetings. Completes and maintains necessary records on student academics program. Provides lesson plans or assists with lesson planning for academic program. Maintains consistent communication with site director on quality and effectiveness of program. Maintains positive relationship with the site director, group leaders and children. Present the mission and vision to staff, students, school community and parents. Works effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions, and perceptions. Listens for understanding and meaning; speaks and writes effectively. Makes sound judgments, and transfers learning from one situation to another. Embraces new approaches and discovers ideas to create a better member experience. Establishes goals, clarifies tasks, plans work, and actively participates in meetings. Strives to meet or exceed goals and deliver a high-value experience for members.

What your background should be

Teaching certificate. CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date. Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred. Previous experience with diverse populations. Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.a

Required Schooling / Training

4 year degree
