What you'll be doing

Under the direction of the director of cancer care services & the ct laboratory medical director, the ct manager plans, coordinates, and directs the overall activities of the department. The ct manager is responsible for monitoring actions of all personnel who report to him/her, providing quality service, and providing technical assistance and training of personnel. The ct manager maintains cqi data and evaluates performance. The ct manager ensures quality of care through review of patient charts, logs, quality control, and patient outcomes. The ct manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with tjc, fda, aabb, & fact standards. The ct manager is responsible for sop writing & review, validations, assessments, performance improvement, and ensuring that the department follows the rmbmtp quality plan. The ct manager must be familiar with the various services available in the hospital and the interactions with the ct department. The ct manager will assist with patient care, procedures, and cell processing as needed. The ct manager will improve knowledge, leadership skills, training skills and technological skills through formal and informal education. The ct manager will continually review and update information for age-related patient care addressing, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

What your background should be

5 years experience in, therapeutic apheresis, stem cell collection, bone marrow harvest, cell processing/cryopreservation. Bls required. A one-year internship or appropriate experience prior to examination. Hew certification requires a combination of education and experience (military or otherwise) prior to examination. A college graduate or equivalent who has passed a certification examination for medical technologist by ascp, nca, or hew. Nca and ascp.

Required Schooling / Training

Requires a B.A. or B.S. in medical technology or related field (chemistry, biology, etc.)
