Classroom Teacher

What you'll be doing: Positively impact student achievement, use appropriate instructional strategy and strong knowledge of the appropriate curriculum and content area. Effectively manage the virtual and physical learning environment. Understand, appreciate and make accommodation for student diversity. Participate in professional development for continuous learning. Work with family in a partnership role. Work collaboratively with colleague and community. Follow state legal requirement and district and building policy and procedure. Provide tutoring to student via computer (Skype), phone or in lab on occasional basis.

What your background should be: Currently hold a Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsement (or CDE licensure application in process). Online teaching experience or enrolled/completed client company sponsored training. Complete the teaching summer school survey & interest in teaching summer school survey. Preferred more than 3 years teaching experience in the classroom or online. Technologically literate and motivated to use technology to enhance learning. Excellent oral and written communication skills; willingness to communicate frequently with families regarding school curriculum and student progress. Knowledge of and deep belief in inclusion in the general education classroom for all students, including those on an IEP and/or learning English.
