What you'll be doing
- The clinical health nurse-RN is responsible for managing and providing a full range of clinical nursing services to employees and participants in a medical clinic. He/she will treat all injuries and illnesses. Coordinate and lead in the response of the medical emergency team. Distribute medications to all persons with orders of the doctors. Provide medical consultations to employees and participants. Provide assessments, evaluate medical needs, offer treatment, monitor progress, coordinate and deliver needed services and ongoing support in a consultative role to participants and employees. Distribute medications and maintain medication management documentation and charting to ensure that the department is following the medication management policies and procedures. Perform clinical nursing assessments. Administer vaccinations per the directive of the medical director. Dispense prescription medications per written directive of personal physician. Oversee and lead the medical emergency response team. Encourage health maintenance and health education programs among participants and employees. The incumbent will be also be responsible for maintaining a clean, compliant, safe and orderly work environment in the medical department.
What your background should be
- Applicant requires having at least two years of prior nursing experience. A minimum of one year experience working with a developmental disabled or elderly population and/or experience in a medical clinic or emergency room setting preferred.
