What you'll be doing
- Assists with quality assurance reviews of clinical records according to established criteria. Provides appropriate medical information to third party payers. Identifies opportunities to improve patient care delivery & documentation and assists staff to develop plans of correction to resolve identified needs. Supervises multi-disciplinary personnel. Performs assessment of staff performance through on-site evaluations & implements counseling for improved performance. Assists with fiscal reviews and oversight for compliance. Manages specific disease states for assigned patient. Assists with orientation of new staff and agency in-services. Assists in administrative on-call rotation. Develops financial projection for reimbursement.
What your background should be
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of home health nursing experience is required. Prefer quality assurance or utilization review experience. Current NC RN licensure required. Must have good communication skills; interpersonal skills. Ability to verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking ability.
Required Schooling / Training
- Associate or bachelor degree in nursing.
