What you'll be doing

Create and de-bug CMM programs for aerospace, commercial and medical applications. Perform CMM incoming, in-process and final inspection as required. Maintain CMM calibration, software in accordance with established schedules. Maintain CMM inspection records. Establish and maintain data for SPC analysis as required. Generate and distribute test reports for both CMM and metallurgical inspections. Assist engineering and quality personnel to define and troubleshoot CMM inspection and tolerance methods. Interact with both internal and external customers. Perform metallurgical samples per established EBTEC/customer specifications and work instructions. Maintain metallurgical inspection records as required by approved procedures. Ensure the appropriate inventory level of materials required for metallurgical inspection such as etchants and polishing papers are maintained. Assist the quality manager in scheduling work flow through the CMM. Interface with other EBTEC departments and customers as appropriate.

What your background should be

Experience with Microsoft Office is required. Knowledge in the use of MiniTab statistical software is a plus. Experience with CMM software preferably Open DMS is required. Prior knowledge and use of inspection and test equipment is required. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and CAD data as well as a working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing is required. A minimum of three (3) years experience with CMM programming and inspection is required. Formal training may reduce the number of years of experience required. Experience performing metallurgical inspection is preferred but will train the ideal candidate.
