What you'll be doing

Operate automated machine using existing program. Test program and ensure machine is set up in accordance with drawing. Remove and replace cutting tool and offset as required. Inspect condition of tool and replace as needed. Manipulate program to fit insert into material, ensuring fit and conformity. Inspect cut material and part prior to computerized numerical control operation to ensure conformity and compliance with blueprint, model, and engineering document. Identify material and appropriate cutting tool. Set up material and inspect for serviceability. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned.

What your background should be

Two years of related experience or education to include one year experience with similar automated equipment. Ability to work second shift. Complex CNC experience preferred. Set up and operate automated machines to fabricate parts, applying knowledge of shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, maintainability materials and layout techniques. Validate preventative maintenance and minor repairs on machines. Complete paperwork and other documents as required. Comply with 5S and environmental, health and safety requirement.

Required Schooling / Training

High school diploma or GED required.
