What you'll be doing

The candidate will develop and direct an internal and external global health communication strategy aligned with company business priorities and key areas of global impact in the developed and developing world, including the company innovation-addressing women and child health, HIV/Aids, Tb, and worm-based parasitic infection. Conduct stakeholder mapping and translate communication strategy into integrated, comprehensive communication plans targeting defined stakeholder groups using an effective blend of diverse communication channels. The ideal applicant will flawlessly execute communication plans, locally and globally, in close collaboration with communication team colleagues, HR, legal and regulatory business partners. S/he is responsible for providing ongoing strategic counsel to global health leaders relating to communication opportunities, issues, and specific communication approaches. S/he will grow existing and new relationships with key organizations. Incumbent will serve as the primary point of contact for global health innovation related information for company investor relations, contributions and other groups. The role will perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

What your background should be

A strong leader with a minimum 15+ years of communications experience with proven record of accomplishment in managing global health reputation on a worldwide scale and strong understanding of the issues, organizations and networks within the global health community. Problem solving and decision-making skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, good judgment, planning and analytical skills are required. The ideal candidate must possess intellectual curiosity, innovative thinking, and creativity. Executive level communications support experience is required.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree is required; MA preferred; MPH in communications or journalism is a plus.
