What you'll be doing
- The construction administrator at this level is capable of performing initial project and cost analysis of plans, specifications, contracts, budgets and schedules with a focus on identifying significant issues that could impact the project during construction. During construction, the construction administrator will interact with customers, bankers, design professionals, third party consultants and agencies to review loan draw requests, review inspection reports, identify project and budget problems, resolve or escalate issues, as required. Assist with interpreting the problems and analyzing the proper resolution. A good candidate is knowledgeable of lien laws, construction materials and methods, standard construction practices, building codes, change orders and contract review on commercial, multi-family, and residential construction loans. The construction administrator will work with multiple lines of business across the bank which could include middle market, retail and asset Management. Project types may include a mix of both ground-up and renovation of large single family residences, multifamily, manufacturing, office buildings, warehouses, healthcare, churches, schools, and many more.
What your background should be
- Bachelor degree in architecture, engineering or building construction. Advanced experience with complex Excel spreadsheets. Minimum 2 plus years experience construction project management, project engineering, or cost estimating. Prefer minimum of 1 year additional experience in development management and cost accounting or engineering.
