What you'll be doing

Demonstrates skill and knowledge of the clinical role. Maintains current knowledge of expertise in the area of specialty. Maintains knowledge of department policies, regulatory requirements, and standards of care. Utilizes resources to meet patient care needs by collaborating with appropriate guardians and community agencies. Demonstrates clinical and professional competency specific to the age, developmental stages, and special needs of the patients served. Demonstrates ability to assess patients problems, needs, and level of functioning. Writes appropriate treatment plans according to patient diagnosis, age, and clinical presentation. Demonstrates knowledge of various treatment modalities and theoretical applications based on current clinical standards. Demonstrates ability to establish and conduct appropriate interventions/treatment. Writes appropriate discharge plans based on individual needs of client and follows through with termination process. Completes patient care assignments with attention to detail and accuracy, and demonstrates the ability to write effectively with clarity and organization. Provides patient care according to established policies/procedures and professional standards of care. Designs, plans, and implements effective patient education. Develops, implements, and evaluates patient care according to identified needs. Maintains open lines of communication, collaborates with healthcare team for patient outcome. Provides accurate and consistent documentation of patient care/response in the medical record. Promotes a safe work environment, demonstrates safe work practice. Manages clients in crisis, utilizing appropriate skills and assessment. Organizes work to meet patient care needs and complete on time. Demonstrates use of logical and appropriate clinical judgment when handling difficult situations. Meets mandatory requirements such as CPR, CPI, and mandatory education. Demonstrates ability to verbally present cases in clinical staff meetings in a clear, concise, and clinically relevant manner. Completes all assessments within facility-established timeframes.

What your background should be

2 to 10 years of relevant experience required. Previous experience working with the adolescent population preferred. Must have good therapeutic communication skills. Must pass CHS defensive driving school and maintain excellent driving record. BLS and HCP certification required.

Required Schooling / Training

Masters degree in a relevant human services field.
