What you'll be doing
- The client company is currently looking for a CT/Radiologic technologist. This position is responsible to perform radiographic and ct imaging procedures. S/he will position, move, and transport patients. The candidate will perform clerical duties. S/he will assist radiologist in performance of special imaging procedures. The applicant will perform basic patient care within scope of practice and to departmental standards. This position may participate in standby call. The incumbent will be responsible to adhere to the company compliance plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state, and federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.
What your background should be
- The candidate must have basic computer and legible writing skills. Must have effective communication skills to appropriately educate patient, be an effective team worker, and assist with answering phones with proper etiquette determined by management. A high level of multitasking, organization, and proactive customer service skills are necessary. Must possess sound judgment, critical thinking skills, ability to manage multiple details, tasks, and decision making abilities under busy and stress full working conditions. The incumbent with minimum of two years of Cat scan/radiologic experience required. Cat scan registry is preferred and may be used in conjunction to meet required experience. The applicant hired without registry will be required to obtain it within one year of employment. Experience with no supervision required for high volume core staffing shifts. Following orientation of one-month technologist should be able to work independently or with other workers available for assistance. Within three months, technologist should be able to work an independent shift and participate with on call duties. S/he must have Florida state license in radiography. BLS certification through the American heart association is required. Cat scan registry preferred.
Required Schooling / Training
- Graduate from an approved ARRT program with current ARRT registration is required.
