What you'll be doing

Meet and deal with the public in professional and courteous manner. Answer general question pertaining to application for various type of driver license and identification card, question pertaining to traffic law, driving license, commercial driving license and safety responsibility law, driver education, driver improvement, insurance requirement, voter registration, organ donation, department employment, and other department and state agency service. Determine the legal need and requirement of driving license and identification card applicant. Screen application form to ensure applicant qualification. Collect appropriate license fee and prepare receipt; ensure and accept accountability that monies received balance with receipt issued; capture photograph of applicant, their signature, and thumbprint.

What your background should be

At least two years of general office and customer service experience. Preferred experience will include at least one-year customer service experience in dealing with the public in person and over the telephone. Knowledge of basic mathematic, business terminology, spelling; of general office and clerical procedure. Learn driving license related law, rule, and the driving license manual.

Required Schooling / Training

Graduation from a standard senior high school or the equivalent.
