Customer Service Specialist/Sales

What you'll be doing
- Performs telephone and walk-in reception to include initial representation of the companys products and services, initial fielding of complaints and directing customers to the proper personnel (channel). Represents a positive company image in all reception and customer service activities. Maintains an up to date sales order entry in relationship to the sales order process. Receives edits and processes incoming customer orders and correspondence in a timely manner. Receives customer inquiries and complaints and directs them to the proper personnel (channel). Performs inside sales activities utilizing a consultative approach to include appropriate follow up. Works with sales personnel regarding obituaries, data entry and print outs regarding sales contacts.
What your background should be
- At least three years of recent, progressive, related customer service experience. Strong working knowledge of basic customer service principles, procedures, methods and techniques. Ability to plan, organize and perform reception, customer service and inside sales activities, including strong public relations and negotiation skills. Working knowledge and expertise in the use of current windows office suite software. General knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Ability to quickly and accurately identify sales and customer service problems and/or opportunities and develop effective solutions and/or plans.
Required Schooling / Training
- Graduation from high school, plus two years of college level coursework including business, sales, marketing and/or related areas. Bachelor degree preferred.
