What you'll be doing
- Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Verifies that applicable codes and engineering standard practices are being met. Resolves issues or problems concerning conflicting design requirements, specifications and/or difficult coordination requirements. Conducts peer reviews and make technical presentations. Conducts ITR and detail check reviews. Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work as a part of a major project or small moderate scope project. Reviews, plans and prepares technical specifications according to the contract documents. Coordinates and prepares deliverables (calculations, specifications and drawings) for submittal to clients. Represents project to other disciplines and company management. Interacts regularly with clients to expand work assignments or market new work. Assists with proposals and scopes of work to provide services or obtain funding for engineering projects or programs. Receives instruction on specific assignments, objectives, complex features and possible solutions. Project management skills including budget control and interdisciplinary coordination.
What your background should be
- Minimum 15 years of data center and mission critical electrical design. Experience in all aspects of designing a data center including power distribution, low and medium voltage, backup power generation, uninterruptible power systems, battery systems, SCAD/EPMS, grounding, etc. Proficient with SKM, AmpCalc, Microsoft Office. Ability to meet deadlines and within budget/client requests.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree in electrical engineering.
