What you'll be doing
- Assists teachers in removing disruptive students from a classroom, cafeteria, school grounds, or other building area, as required. Assists students with behavior modification, conflict management and resolution, making correct choices, recognizing consequences, and other related social skills. Prepares and maintains documents, reports, records, files, and related documentation of student activities, violations, progress, and behaviors. Initiates and maintains contact with parents on student activities, incidents, behaviors, and violations and subsequent school actions. May assist students with classroom and homework assignments, tutoring, or other supplemental instruction.
What your background should be
- Experience in dealing effectively with adolescents of varied backgrounds and cultures. Classroom or other instructional experience or continued college level education is preferred.
Required Schooling / Training
- High school diploma or GED
