What you'll be doing

Participate in outpatient’s group nutrition classes as assigned and/or arrange individual appointments when referrals received. Provide specialized nutrition education to patients and family members. Provide in-services and lectures to clinical staff, and mentors dietitians, dietetic technicians and diet aides to improve performance standards. Participate in educating dietetic and medical students, and serve as a consultant for intern, residents, and attending physicians. Assigned duties may include inpatient, outpatient, and/or clinic setting. Perform other duties as needed.

What your background should be

Minimum two years of clinical nutrition experience required. Certification from commission on dietetic registration required. Board specialist certification required. Valid California driving license. A thorough knowledge of clinical nutrition in area of specialty. Ability to speak English fluently. Ability to speak Spanish desirable. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, making judgments, make and follow through on plans, reasoning and problem solving skills, mathematical skills, must be able to organize and prioritize workload, detail oriented. Ability to document effectively.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree and master degree required, preferably in nutrition related field.
