What you'll be doing

Responsible for directing all activities within a department, developing and maintaining quality-improvement programs, collaborating with physicians and medical staff to ensure service expectations are being met and directing the work flow of case managers. Serves as a resource for the case management team and other departments. Manages, develops and implements programs to optimize patient care. Ensures standards of case management practice and integrated services are developed, implemented and monitored for consistent with professional standards and regulatory requirements; researches resources to resolve issues based on evidence or current practice. Promote and maintain positive relations with patients and their families as well as other healthcare organizations. Account in ensuring case management process is initiated effectively across the organization, and patients receive the appropriate level of care across the continuum.

What your background should be

Minimum 5-10 years progressive management and leadership experience in case management. Prior work experience with ICD9, CPT, HCPCS APC, DRG, revenue codes and status indicators, especially relating to ambulatory/outpatient reimbursement. Leadership experience in day to day hospital operations.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree in nursing, healthcare,finance, business administration or related field required.
