What you'll be doing
- Responsible for coordinating business development and sales activities for the oil & gas division. This person will report to the VP business development, oil, gas & chemicals. Develop new client relations and identify new potential projects. Maintain and expand ongoing relations with existing clients. Identify and meet with key client personnel and decision makers.Work with management to identify resources needed to secure work from clients. Maintain good understanding of client business needs and upcoming CAPEX projects. Maintain pulse of industry business cycles and prioritize sales efforts toward high potential projects. Monitor, track and report prospects and proposals. Provide reports and status updates of prospects and proposals to management on a regular basis. Assist in developing metrics for measuring success (actual vs. budget targets). Participate in various aspects of proposal efforts. Work with OGC operations to ensure proposals are developed and completed on time. When requested, coordinate with corporate legal to ensure contract T&C are acceptable.
What your background should be
- Professional engineering registration is a plus. Minimum 15 years of experience engaged in capital project business development for the oil & gas industries. Successful track record capturing work ranging from preliminary engineering design services through full EPC execution in the mid-stream, upstream and downstream oil & gas industries. Good understanding of facilities and client needs in areas of oil & gas production equipment, gathering systems, central production facilities, tank farms and terminals, refinery systems and units, and chemical plants. Background in developing proposal content and structure that leads to successful awards.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor or Master degree in Chemical Engineering.
