What you'll be doing

The director (vaccine commercial value stream) is responsible to embed and grow the end-to-end value stream. The candidate will work effectively in the matrix in order to establish a stable value stream, enabling the matrix nature of a value stream is a critical responsibility of the role. S/he will be responsible for the forecast output across the portfolio: validate commercial assumptions, impact analysis on supply issues, partner with brand teams in DRM process. Responsible for implementation of customer prioritization and supply allocations/local trade-offs. This includes chairing bi-weekly commercial supply meetings, endorsing schedule release during time of constraint, and oversight of contracted stock builds. Influencing supply strategy and improvement initiatives. Representative for US commercial on supply chain operations board and is the voice of US commercial in global allocation. Coordination across brand & customer for issues related to supply. Value stream continuous improvement and facilitate commercial functions during market events. Lead the commercial team during market events, business gatekeeper of the demand forecast, market events process owner, ensure the process is in place and in use. Deliver medium to long-term value for the customer. Develop value for the customers by innovating differentiation, by engaging, influencing, and partnering with-finance, demand management, channel ops, distribution strategy, trade strategy, contract operations, CDC engagement team, brand marketing, commercial futures, communications (marketing operations). The responsibility would be to innovate, define, and implement supply related solutions, which meet/exceed customer expectations. The incumbent is also responsible to establish in the appropriate commercial supply governance for: escalation of trade-offs, ongoing performance review, sponsorship of continuous improvement or innovative initiatives and process compliance and governance. Perform other duties as assigned.

What your background should be

The candidate should have minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or 10 years of experience in defining and driving commercial growth through supply optimization. The incumbent should have strong commercial experience and a working knowledge of the supply chain is critical. S/he should have experience developing & proposing improvements to strategy and tactics as appropriate. Proven experience to drive the cultural change and commitment, and provoke behavioral changes that will create a positive work environment related to supply in the commercial arena. The role requires a broad spectrum and deep level of knowledge from strategy to operations.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree, master degree preferred.
