What you'll be doing

Provide centralized control over the dispatching of field Installation group, Inside Plant (ISP) and applicable third party contractors. Responsible for dispatching timely and efficient customer work orders within established company service level agreements using electronic provisioning systems and workflow or organizational tools. Respond to dispatch requests by prioritizing and scheduling work order installations and tasks to field installation and other groups responsible for the on time delivery of services. Verifies scheduled work orders are ready for dispatch to maximize departmental & technician quotas and minimize the need for overtime, duplicative efforts and operational costs. Creates, maintains and distributes regional and multi regional work order dispatch assignments to company wide audience. Monitors statuses and adjusts dispatch assignments throughout the day via regular contact with field personnel; regularly informs and updates field personnel on schedule or technical related issues. Reviews and validates all invoices before processing for payment. Perform other duties as assigned.

What your background should be

The ideal candidate typically has 0 to 3 years of related experience. Familiarity with enterprise provisioning systems is preferred. Must have basic knowledge of Metro Ethernet services; data and voice network services. Must have the ability to learn equipment and demonstrate steps required for efficient dispatch. Excellent communication skills are required. Must have a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word). For internal candidates applying for other opportunities within the organization, the minimum educational requirement for college is strongly preferred but not required depending on relevant work experience.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree in architecture, engineering or project management is preferred or minimum of 60 College credits required, military experience, or technical/trade school certification.
