What you'll be doing

Greets donor and carries donation from donor vehicle to center. Gives donor a receipt if requested. Exercises sound judgment in determining which donations are acceptable and which are not. Uses good customer service practices when it is necessary to refuse a donation. Thanks donor for the donation and is always courteous to all donors keeps donation area, both inside and outside of building, clean, neat, and free of debris at all times. Sorts donations into appropriate categories, ready for pricing in production department. Learns and follows all policies and procedures related to donation operations. Learns and practices safe methods for lifting and moving donations. Assists in unloading/loading trucks and/or trailers. Projects appropriate behavior and appearance as a representative of the company. Practices positive customer relations. Maintains all required records and delivers to supervisor or driver as scheduled.

What your background should be

One to three months related experience and/or training. Must have legible handwriting and the ability to read, write and communicate in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Required Schooling / Training

High school diploma or GED preferred
