What you'll be doing

The driver will work in other areas when there is no need for pick-ups or deliveries. Meet and greet every donor immediately upon their arrival; treat donations with respect; sort donations into proper containers by categories; sort recyclables into proper containers; keep doorways and walkways clear; clean large furniture and large donated items that will be placed on sales floor; get assistance with loading and unloading large or heavy items; bring in any donations that are left outside; at end of shift, clean up donation area, inside and out; make sure donation table is stocked with donation log, receipts and tax value sheets prior to leaving at end of shift; and is expected to perform duties to the established best practice of ESGW northern rocky mountain. Drivers represents the company and corporation to the public; dress and actions must make a favorable impression. The driver will also assist with minor repairs or building modifications as time allows and as assigned by his or her supervisor.

What your background should be

Applicant must have a current valid driving license consistent with state motor vehicle regulations, issued by the state of residence, registration, and proof of insurance. Motor vehicle record must be clear of driving offenses for previous three years. Experience driving heavy-duty 1-ton trucks required, with good depth perception for backing up truck. Ability to work with people with disabilities or other special needs desirable. Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community, ability to communicate clearly. Applicant must pass a background check.
