What you'll be doing
- Assists in providing a safe work environment and safe and appropriate pharmacy products and services to patients in accordance with company policies and procedures, the states professional standards and other regulatory entities. Assists with the packing and timely delivery of products and services to patients and with the purchasing of products for the pharmacy. Checks, maintains and cleans medical and pharmacy equipment. Responsible for routine checks, troubleshooting and restoration of equipment to determine that the equipment is functioning according to manufacturers specifications and as prescribed by the patients physician. Responsible for extensive coordination between the practitioner, patient and caregivers. Cleans and maintains all equipment and pumps. Coordinates the delivery of medical supplies to patients in a timely and cost efficient manner. Confirms delivery tickets after delivery or shipment. Maintains the pharmacy work area and receiving/shipping area in a professional and safe manner. Performs routine function checks, downloads and troubleshooting for devices. Contacts patients and/or caregivers to schedule deliveries and determine special needs. Documents activities as required by policy and procedure, accreditation agency and law and regulation. Communicates, immediately, to the facility manager any questions, concerns or issues regarding assigned area of responsibility including assignment, responsibility for customer care and complaints from patients, caregivers or referral sources. Documents all required and requested information, including delivery information, patient information, caregiver information and information regarding the use of equipment, education delivered and expenses as required on the prescribed forms as described in company policy and procedures or regulations. Handles all medical waste or contaminated equipment according to safe handling techniques described in company policy and procedure. Observes legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding the confidentiality of patient and proprietary information.
What your background should be
- A valid driving license and a proof of insurance would be required. Prior experience in home care or home medical equipment. One year of experience in medical equipment maintenance. One year of experience in warehouse and/or delivery operations. Basic level PC skills. Basic email skills, internet explorer (sending, receiving, and organizing communications). Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Willing to travel at least 80% of the time for business purposes.

- High school diploma or GED
