Executive housekeeper is responsible for the overall cleanliness of assigned rooms/suites. He/she will check maid cart for supplies, stock as needed. Greet guests immediately with friendly/sincere acknowledgement. Strip dirty linens/towels and remove used amenities from room/suite. Clean rooms/suites, as assigned, which includes: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming and washing windows/tracks. Report rooms as clean and available. The individual will report maintenance deficiencies in order to maintain room in compliance with hotel standards. Replenish linen and guest amenities. Clean balconies, if applicable. Respond to special requests by guests (such as providing extra amenities or service time requests). Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards. Support the hotel management staff in creating and reinforcing a workspace culture that emphasizes safety and security.
What your background should be
One or two years of experience in hotel housekeeping or related/prior work experience in a similar field are preferred. Applicant requires having the ability to report to work on time and on schedule; ability to read and recognize room/suite numbers; ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members verbally or in written form; ability to learn, follow and enforce procedures and standards for cleanliness; and the ability to follow all safety procedures and standards and capable of appropriate response to emergency situations. Applicant should have attention to detail and the working knowledge of hotel brand standards.
