What you'll be doing

Respond to all customer requests for service by establishing cause of equipment failure and performing repairs. This requires the use of proprietary software and tools to determine and correct system failures. Replace parts needed to correct malfunction and perform proper tests to ensure operation of the equipment after repair. Respond to requests for emergency service as required. This may include after-hours and weekends. Assist with or perform the installation of proprietary injector systems at customer locations as requested. The injector may connect to OEM equipment and possibly the hospital network. Prepare detailed service and failure records for work performed and enter all information into the medical service tracking database. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through knowledge of injector systems and the use of verbal and listening communication skills. Effectively plan, organize and prioritizes workload and schedule travel to respond to all service calls within budget. Assure all regulatory compliance issues are being followed in the department activities, e.g. GMPs, ISO, and corporate QA and ethics policies. Maintain tools and test equipment in accordance with company policy. If calibration is required, submit to factory at designated times. Provide assistance, as needed to home-office customer support, the service project engineer or other field Service team members. Maintain trunk inventory by safeguarding assets and entering usage into NAV. Perform cycle counts as required and minimize variances to meet established goals. Perform periodic preventive maintenance on equipment as required by contract or as stipulated by the engineering department. Establish schedules to ensure that preventive maintenance is performed at each customer site within the service region. Perform modifications or updates (hardware and software) to injector systems as required. Software updates require use of special software and operating system developed internally.

What your background should be

2+ years experience in service of electro-mechanical instruments. Background in troubleshooting, analyzing and formulating solutions. Must have Strong verbal, interpersonal and communication skills. Customer service orientation. Excellent analytical skills, especially in problem solving. Familiarity with ISO, FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and quality systems. Experience in field service related to medical equipment is preferred.

Required Schooling / Training

Associates degree in electrical engineering/electronic technology or combination of education .
