What you'll be doing

This position is responsible for updating and evaluating information presented in weekly and monthly reporting, database creation and maintenance, general ledger account analysis, journal entry and financial statement variance report preparation and ad-hoc reporting. Prepare account reconciliations and reviews as part of monthly close process. Obtain and prepare required supporting schedules. Identify errors and/or trends in system data to improve accuracy, timeliness and general flow of transactions and accounting data. Respond promptly and correctly to inquiries from internal and external auditors. Create and maintain databases. Create value-added reporting. Ensure SOX compliance for all processes and procedures. Special projects as needed.

What your background should be

0-2 years related work experience. Ability to work and prioritize in a complex and changing organization. Experience working independently and in groups in order to achieve departmental goals. Proficiency in spreadsheet and computerized accounting applications. Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form and relate effectively with others.

Required Schooling / Training

Four year accounting/finance degree required, CPA, CMA, or MBA a plus.
