What you'll be doing

Work well with a variety of colleagues to support the timely and accurate preparation and review of quarterly SEC filings. Ensure the effectiveness of an internal control environment over SEC financial reporting. Support business' process of continuous improvement by looking for ways to improve the efficiency without sacrificing quality. Participate in XBRL training and tagging. Support the preparation and review of deliverables related to the earnings release, including working cooperatively with the partners in investor relations. Coordinate and/or prepare complex financial reporting and research and respond to both internal and external audit and / or regulatory inquiries.

What your background should be

Experience in external financial reporting is ideal. Excellent understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, FFIEC, FASB). Achievement of, or demonstrated progress towards, a professional certification (CPA, CIA) is highly preferred. Knowledge of SEC reporting is preferred. Able to handle stressful, fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality. Ability to actively participate in new and existing projects / initiates. Strong organizational skills and written and verbal communications skills is required. 10+ years of diversified accounting and financial reporting experience, including time at a large financial services institution. Public accounting experience, CPA a plus.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor's degree is required, accounting major preferred.
