What you'll be doing
- Delivers strong operational performance by executing against company and regulatory agency standards and programs, continually monitors operations, and completes assessments and necessary action plans to provide optimal food quality and meal services. Drives patient and customer satisfactions, and maintains client relationships through rounding. Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards. Supervises, staffs, trains, conducts applicable rounding and manages the performance of the food production staff regarding food productions, presentations, qualities, cost controls, and food safety and sanitation. Responsibles for overseeing purchasing, receiving, and managing food production activities in compliance with companies food production systems. Manages and controls resources and materials to ensure quality, adequacy of supply and cost control within budgetary guidelines. Responsibles for purchasing, inventory, menu planning, pre costing and post costing. Supervises/coordinates all culinary activities.
What your background should be
- Minimum of three years experience as a food service manager or chef in a large quantity food preparation organization. Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively with clients, customers of client and support staff. Ability to write letters, summaries and reports, using prescribed format and conform to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Strong knowledge of computer systems: Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Requires management and leadership skills in addition to good planning and organization skills.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor's or associate's degree in culinary arts management or related food service degree preferred. High school diploma is required.
